Product Quality and Selection 

How does the quality of the food I order from Vacation Food Service  compare to what I can find at my local grocery store?

You'll find the quality of the products Vacation Foods offers is the same as you find at your local store. Our produce is hand-picked daily by our personal shoppers and packed just for you, which means you'll get the freshest fruits and vegetables available. You'll also find restaurant-quality meats and seafood not available in most stores. Plus, Vacation Foods carries all of your favorite name-brand products and a full line of private label products too.

Can I trust Vacation Foods to pick my meat, produce and other fresh foods?

Absolutely. We choose only the highest quality fruit and produce available. Our trained shoppers pride themselves on picking only the best for you. We use a local bakery, butcher and delicatessen as well a fresh seafood store to ensure the highest quality products are delivered to you.   

What if I am looking for a product Vacation Foods doesn't carry?

Let us know!  To simplify the online store we have attempted to add a blank product request to every category.  If there are items not listed in the store that you would like, just go to the Unlisted Items department and add as many items as you would like. We strive to carry a wide variety of products our customers wish to purchase and add new products all the time.

Shopping 

What if I don't have time to finish my order in one sitting? Can I place items in my cart and checkout later?

Yes. Vacation Foods saves everything you place in your cart so you can add to your order at any time. Just click the  Checkout and your order is automatically stored.   You can also add items to your order after you've checked out up until your cut off day as advised by our customer service representative.  Normally this would be approximately 5 days prior to delivery.

How far in advance do I need to order?

 Available delivery days and times are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis, and popular times do fill quickly. We recommend placing your order several days before your desired delivery date. We often need to correspond with you at least once to ensure your personalized order meets all your specifications. 

It is preferred you place your order at least two weeks in advance but we are able to accommodate orders placed up to 24 hours prior to requested delivery time. Restrictions apply during peak seasons such as Christmas, President's week and Spring Break.

Delivery

How do you keep my groceries fresh during delivery?

We pack your groceries in temperature-controlled containers and crush-proof bins to maintain quality and freshness.  We ensure that frozen and refrigerated items stay cold all the way to your door.

Can I tip my Vacation Foods driver?

Gratuities are optional and completely at your discretion.

Pricing and Payment

When do I have to pay for my groceries?  

 A deposit of 50% of the estimated total cost of the order is required once the order has been finalized with our customer service representative. The balance is due on the day of delivery.  A fee may be charged if orders are cancelled 48 hours or less prior to delivery.  

How can I pay for my order?

 Vacation Foods makes paying for your groceries as easy as possible.  Payment options are bank transfer or credit card.  We accept Visa, MasterCard.

General and Technical 

What happens if I forget my username or password?

Just click on the Forgot password link and enter your email address.  We will email you your password.

Will Vacation Foods automatically remember my password?

No.  Please record your password and keep it in a safe place. We can not access your username or password.

Is it safe to use my credit card over the Internet?

No. We do not use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software that encrypts your credit card information and other personal information at this time.  We prefer you provide this information to our customer service representatives either by telephone or fax once you order has been finalized. Once we receive your credit card information, it is stored off line.  

Which browser is best for shopping at Vacation Foods?

Our site is best viewed with Microsoft® Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher or Netscape Navigator® 4.0 or higher. Other browsers may not support all of our site's features. Also, our web site is designed for customers with a minimum 800 x 600 screen resolution. If your settings are lower than that, you might not be able to see a whole page on your computer screen.

Does Vacation Foods use "cookies?"

We love cookies at Vacation Foods........Chocolate Chip is our favorite.   Cookies are pieces of data transferred to your computer's hard drive through your Web browser that enable systems to recognize your browser and to provide you with certain features. We do not use cookies in our site.

What is Vacation Food’s Privacy Policy?

Your privacy is very important to us. Vacation Foods does not sell personal information about individual customers (such as name, address, e-mail address) to third parties.
